Tyler's Story I have an 11 year old nephew in Hawaii who accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior a couple of years ago. Tyler is very close to his great grandfather and grandmother. So it was with great dismay that he responded to the news that his great grandfather had suffered an aneurysm. Since he didn't really know what an aneurysm was he asked his father. His dad explained in detail what it consisted of and the inevitable effects that accompany the severity of the one his great grandfather had experienced-a vegetative state if not death. Tyler was crushed. That night he cried and cried over what he had been told all the while entertaining the thought of what would happen if his great grandfather passed away. The next morning came and Tyler went with his mom to visit his great grandfather in the hospital. There in the hospital room in front of his relatives, Tyler explained the gospel of Jesus Christ to his great grandfather. And it was there, in front of his relatives, that Tyler's great grandfather accepted Christ into his heart. Tyler's day, as my brother explained it, was "MADE". Tyler was still sad at what his great grandfather had undergone. But he knew without a doubt that if his great grandfather died after he went back home, he would see him again in heaven. Do you have that assurance? Do you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that your fate is sealed in the arms of Jesus Christ? Are you sure that you would be allowed into heaven? If you aren't, I'd urge you seek Christ and ask Him into your heart today. Click here to learn more about a relationship with Jesus Christ. If you are already an adopted son or daughter of the Most High God, I hope this story at once encourages and convicts you. That's what I felt. It's hardest to witness to your own family. But Tyler did it in front of his relatives knowing what would happen if he backed away. To God be the glory! |
