Youth Ministries

The goal of our youth ministries is to train them to become followers of Christ not just as boys and girls, but as men and women who will carry the torch of Christ into future generations. Fellowship meetings and Christian education classes, as well as a committed staff of youth leaders and parents, are the means for training up our youth.

W.A.S.A.B.I. (we.are.serving.and.believing.individuals) – Middle School

Our middle school group meets once a month in various homes for a time of fun learning and growing together. Currently they are studying parts of the body… yes, parts of the body — the eyes, ears, hands, feet, etc. — and how these relate to growing in their walks with Christ. Through these and other topics, our hope is that our students will develop a strong foundation that will help them stand firm through the pressures and struggles of the adolescent years.

Every Sunday morning the group meets to learn more from the Scriptures, building a good understanding of the Bible not just academically, but practically as well. Currently, the class is going through the topic of abiding in Jesus from Desiring God ministries.

R.O.C.K. – High School

The High School group (you know, they never did come up with a meaning for R.O.C.K.!), meets twice a month in various homes. Building a sense of community through friendships while learning how to live a godly life as they grow in independence is one of the goals of this meeting time. Meeting Saturday nights, the group is learning how to develop healthy habits such as spending time with God, wise decision-making, genuine faith, etc.

Sunday mornings will be spent this fall studying the very difficult topic of biblical ethics. Unlike socially or culturally created ethics, biblical ethics looks to the Bible for the answers to right and wrong. Our hope is that students will be able to see their way through a gray and foggy world.
